I hope you're celebrating Alien Day as well, or at least having a great Wednesday today.
To celebrate Alien Day, ST:L's webmaster and 3D artist is releasing his 3D video animation of the Nostromo's landing on LV-426:
It only took five years for him to finish it, so hopefully you'll enjoy it. (He tends to procrastinate - a LOT.)
To make matters worse, he modeled it and animated it using a 12-year old Dell with 4GB of RAM, running Windows Vista. And made it with Windows Movie Maker.
It's a miracle he even got it done in "just" five years...
Also, Aliens: Renaissance is on schedule and set to debut on May 19th, to celebrate the release of Alien: Covenant. Be sure to check www.NCC-1701-A.net for the story.
PS: The Ripley V4 is from the amazing artist WarTech.

Farewell to NCC-1701-A.net
I'm very sad to say that I'm closing my website at the end of this year. I'm far too busy to produce any web-comic anymore, due to an insanely-busy work schedule, taking care of elderly and ailing parents, and considerable health-care problems of my own. I hope to eventually post each episode of Star Trek: Legends, Episode 1 (Mudd's Slide) here at DeviantArt when time allows. For all that have been keeping up with the Enterprise, her crew, Harry Mudd, the Klingons, and Mudd's androids, thank you. This is a great community at DeviantArt, and it is a privilege to be here with you. :)
New Battlestar Galactica Series!!!
I just read this like ten seconds ago, and had to post it here:

It's a GREAT time to be alive again - so say we all!!!
Star Trek: The Motion Picture
I just got home from seeing the 40th Anniversary showing of the original theatrical-release ST:TMP. It was... glorious.
Its special-effects may look just a bit dated by today's slick CGI standards (but not enough to matter) but it was the story and the acting that make it a timeless film all the same. The chemistry between the original crew, and the story of "the human adventure" is still as beautiful to me today as it was when I was a wee kid seeing it in theaters for the first time. I'll admit, three times tonight watching the movie on the big screen again after 40 years, I did, in fact, shed a few tears.
Live long and prosper my frie
My PC Likes Star Trek Again. :)
Carrara users - if your Daz Carrara software crashes a split-second after being launched, and you have a display tablet, it may be the display-tablet that's causing the problem. I have a Gaomon PD1560 and even though I had it running on my PC for months without any problems, all of a sudden it became the cause of Carrara 8.5 Pro not working. At the advice of Daz Tech Support, I uninstalled the Gaomon software, and now Carrara runs just fine.
And also, now, my $500 Gaomon Display-Tablet is now useless.
